ETI's EMI/RFI Test Equipment and Chambers

Most of ETI's competitors design and manufacture their products for FCC, Part 15, Class A EMI/RFI protection, which by our standards are relatively easy to meet. Because our clientele have applications requiring Mil Std 461 which are far more stringent, ETI has its own EMI/RFI test chambers, antennas, load impedance stabilization networks, spectrum analyzers and software to design and qualify ETI's products to commercial, industrial and military standards including FCC, Mil Std as well as European standards.

A variety of RF antennas are used to measure radiated emissions over the frequency spectrums required.

These current transformers are used to measure conducted emissions.

The antennas and current probes are connected to these specialized spectrum analyzers that are much more sensitive to signal levels and can measure the frequencies in much smaller increments over a broader frequency range than most spectrum analyzers. To record and document the signal levels against the limits, a custom software package interfaces the spectrum analyzers with a computer.

In order to limit any interference for external RF influences including radio and TV stations, the test unit along with the antennas and current probes are placed inside a shield room that minimizes external signals. To limit conducted interference through the power lines, specialized impedance networks (LISN) are installed ahead of the tested equipment.

Stay connected under extreme conditions! Use ETI PowerStation poducts!
